The state of Guanajuato will host the “World Romance Travel Conference (WRTC) – Love México” in the year 2022, an event that will show Wedding Planners at a national and international level that Romance destinations of the Guanajuato entity are ideal for weddings, honeymoons and couples celebrations.
This was announced earlier this month by Kitzia Morales Torres, president and founder of the International Association of Destination Wedding Professionals (IADW) in the framework of the celebration of 2 important events of the Romance Industry: the WRTC and the LAT Wedding Congress (in face-to-face format ), at the Barceló Maya Riviera hotel, Quintana Roo.
“The decision was not made by me. Yesterday, the Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato, Juan José Álvarez Brunel, made a presentation of an extraordinary destination (…) and won the hearts of the people. We are very happy to announce that, for the first time, we are going to do it in Guanajuato, ”said Kitzia Morales.
“In 2022, celebrating the 14th edition, we are going to show destination wedding planners and specialized travel agents from North America – with experience in international business – the tourist attractions and products, infrastructure, hotels and venues of Guanajuato Capital, San Miguel de Allende, and the other Romance destinations that are consolidated in the state ”, added the president of the WRTC.
During his successful destination presentation, master Álvarez Brunel explained that in Guanajuato Romance Tourism is experienced in weddings, engagement ring events, honeymoon and bachelor parties, in the 2 World Heritage Cities, as well as in destinations of Adventure like San José Iturbide and Tarandacuao; León; and the 6 Magical Towns: Yuriria, Salvatierra, Dolores Hidalgo (Cradle of National Independence), Jalpa de Cánovas, Comonfort, and Mineral de Pozos.
“The great stories that are lived in our state are unique and magical. SECTUR has made an alliance with the private initiative to achieve great results in the Romance Tourism segment; because only in this way, working together, the tourist destinations will be victorious ”, said the Secretary of Tourism.
This networking event provides the opportunity for Romance destinations to bring together the main suppliers of the industry so that they can delight, in the case of Guanajuato, with the former Haciendas, Jardines, Viñedos, Bocaminas; and that they know the Religious Heritage of the region, in places such as Cristo Rey, Basilica of Our Lady of Guanajuato, San Miguel de Arcángel Parish and Expiatory Temple, or Atotonilco, just to mention a few.
“I am grateful that Guanajuato is represented here today and that they have been so brave with that strategic vision of not losing such an important market as Romance Tourism; I am sure that they will have good results from this event and a very good positioning ”, concluded Morales Torres.
