The airline, which had suspended its arrivals to the port due to the pandemic, could increase a new weekday flight to the city
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- At 11:50 am this Saturday, the first flight of the United Airlines arrived at the “Rafael Buelna Tenorio” International Airport, after the company had suspended its arrivals at the port due to the pandemic of the Covid-19 in April of this year.
Luis Terán Tirado, Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries of Mazatlán, said that the airline would reactivate its arrivals to the city next January, but it was a month early, which shows that Mazatlán is one of the favorite destinations in the US market.
“It is reactivating the flights to Mazatlan, but fortunately United Airlines brought the flights ahead a month, obviously because people are asking for the Mazatlan destination and for that reason they made the decision to fly a month before.”
He added that the aircraft, which will arrive every Saturday and could continue like this until June, comes from Houston, United States, with 90 passengers; and it could increase arrival frequency during the week.
